A trip to the local Korean bathhouse sounds like it can be both an incredibly invigorating and relaxing thing. You are completely right that the sauna is exactly what is needed during the long NY winter. Definitely an experience to be had.
My friend dragged me here, then she had to drag me out. I can’t believe so many people don’t know about this. walking around barefoot in a uniform, hot tub jets for every part of your body, laying down to take a nap on a heated floor, lounging around reading a book for hours, getting a top notch massage, eating delicious food, what could be better?? The only criticism is that it’s crowded, but you can always find a quiet spot somewhere. This is my absolute go-to mommy time out spot. And bathing naked with other women is surprisingly not uncomfortable (FYI that’s optional)
Next time I’m getting a body scrub for sure!!
