Madonna can’t find a new trainer in New York City. So the singer imports one.
After splitting with wafer-thin trainer Tracy Anderson last year, we hear that the Material Girl is embracing a new fitness regime and a new trainer. According to Fit Sugar, Madonna has taken up training with Sadie Lincoln, the founder of barre3.
Barre3 sounds somewhat like Anderson’s no-weights workout: It combines ballet barre work, yoga, and Pilates and is “designed to transform the body to one of equal balance, strength and flexibility,” says the website. In other words, it’ll give you those long lean muscles of a dancer.
But there is a point of difference. Unlike the whopping $900 price tag for working out at Anderson’s Tribeca studio each month, Lincoln charges an $140 per month for unlimited classes.
That’s not to say Madge is working out on the cheap. The singer currently flies her new trainer here from Portland, Oregon, where Lincoln runs several studios. (She’s probably still saving money.) But the whole thing begs the question: Couldn’t Madonna find a fab new trainer in New York City? We’d be happy to recommend some.
Until Lincoln sets up shop here in Manhattan (which could very well happen), the two have been using a simple loaner space: Mikhail Baryshnikov’s Upper West Side studio.
This also strikes us as a bit odd: Does the ultimate home gym Madonna recently added to her Upper East Side pad really not include a ballet barre?
