know tim well, this is not meant to be a soft porn site, that idea was made by someone who obviously wouldn’t look good in yoga pants or has attended too many women’s rights conventions.
Is the person who wrote this article from New York? That would explain a lot. The rest of the world probably looks at this as a plug for “Girls in Yoga Pants”. I expect that TB’s site will at least double in popularity as a result of this intellectual “masterpiece” of an article more worthy of the National Enquirer’s trash bin. Keep up the good work with “Girls in Yoga Pants”!
Lighten up people. What’s wrong with women getting some positive feedback? EVERYONE knows that 80% of yoga pants wearers (roughly ;) ) are in it for the comfort and the look. I for one encourage women to send in more! Hard to find a butt that looks bad in yoga pants!
you might be able to say tim brown was like joe francis if he got girls drunk, got them to sign sketchy waivers, and then taped them doing sexual things. have you even seen the website? AND girls submit their own butts for the most part, so saying that tim is degrading women is ridiculous. i’m an avid yoga pants wearer, and future GIYP.com picture. GIYP STRONG!
My thoughts about this are along the same lines of what Stefanie Syman has said about the intersection of yoga, consumerism, and the internet resulting in sexualization of yogis. Hardly surprising, and hardly exciting when one can see women in black stretchy pants pretty much anywhere these days. Why go to some pervy blog when you can just walk through Tribeca?
Although… I do worry that GIYP will spawn an epidemic of creepy fetishists loitering in Lululemon shops throughout North America. Guard those Groove Pant mannequins, Lulus!
That is what the girls said. A lot of the yoga pants out there are designed to make your butt look better. That is why so many people wear them that don’t do yoga.

I think that Girls in Yoga Pants is a great site :) Just saw it today. <3ed it! Good work TB.

I think the site is harmless. I do find it hysterical that for all the “yoga pants” on display, most were worn by women who I doubt do yoga.
