Amazing giveaway! HUGE fan of Candle 79 and I already Like them on Facebook. Veganism is going mainstream partly because of movies like Food, Inc and books like Eating Animals and The China Study. These are increasing awareness of both the health and ethical issues associated with eating animal products. They certainly helped me make the shift towards become a vegetarian and drastically reducing my intake of other animal products
Slowly people are realizing that eating more vegetarian and vegan meals is not only good for their health, but it is better for the environment as well. And by the way, Candle 79 has amazing food!
Veganism’s spread is a growing consciousness about the health of our bodies and our world. Plus, we’re realizing that vegetables can taste amazing!
I would love to treat my fiancee to a great dinner at Candle 79 with this $100 gift certificate. I put this comment about 2 hours ago on Candle 79′s FB page and wanted to place it here too:
“Veganism is our current civil rights movement. People are so in tune now to the way factory farms abuse and torture animals that people are starting to stand up and be activists and be the “voice” of all animals! Not to mention all the health benefits of being vegan add years of life as well as decrease the risk of disease; in addition, people are starting to realize that animals are here on this planet not for our abuse or benefit.”
