Go green. And celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on your digits

3-free nail polish

Leave the lumpy shamrock sweater in the closet this March 17. Instead, why not paint your nails in one of the many 3-free green polishes now sprouting up everywhere this spring.

Here are some of our favorite shades of green. And each is sourced from a 3-free company, meaning no formaldehyde, phthalates, or toluene have been used in the formulations.

So, when people eye your nails, you can say, “Oh yeah, this is a 3-free polish, which means it doesn’t have the should-be-banned chemicals used in many others.” Cheers to that!

Four of our Favorite Green Polishes

For an Art Nouveau oxidized copper, try RGB Minty ($14).

Priti NYC makes a mint julep green called Fishbone Cactus ($12.50). Though we think it’s kinda saying Kermit the Frog-meets-wheat grass.

Scotch Naturals makes a tweedy green shade perfect for the office, called Ceasefire ($14.99).

Zoya combines olive, blue, and violet in the color Gemma ($8).

We promise these green treats for your nails will leaving you feeling more healthy and glamorous than Micky D’s just-for-Saint-Patrick’s-Day Shamrock Shake. (Stay away!)
