HGO Lab proves three skin-care products are all you need
Since Clinique popularized the cleanse, tone, and moisturize model of skin care, the concept of three little products that do it all has been a beauty ideal. Too bad with the ease of that 3-step ritual you get a face full of chemicals.
Enter a new, all-natural option, HGO Lab Complete Organic Skin Care System, created by Hope Gillerman, an aromatic healer and the founder of H.Gillerman Organics.
The chemical-free line of three do-it-all skin-care products—Grapefruit Face Wash, Neroli Face Oil, Face Balm, plus a Hand & Body Balm and Lip Balm—is designed to be simple to use, says Gillerman. Rather than create products for dry, combination, or oily skin, Gillerman designed the range to be one-size-fits-all. “Natural ingredients balance your skin because that’s what they’re used to doing in nature,” explains Gillerman. So the products work for anyone, since the skin makes use of what it needs. “Synthetic ingredients don’t have the same complexity,” she explains. For freshness, HGO Lab products are made in small batches every six weeks.

I became a devotee of the ultra-foamy face wash (a pump froths the cleanser as it’s dispensed). It worked wonders on my combination skin, and I loved the fresh, citrus-clean feeling. I was concerned about using the Neroli Face Oil on my acne-prone visage, but my skin drank it up—and the final test came two weeks later when my breakouts retreated. I used the creamy floral Face Balm sparingly, so it may be a go-to for drier skin.
No one wants a medicine cabinet filled with products that might work. I was lucky enough to win these products and I have to say, I LOVE them! Absolutely. They are GREAT! I have dry-oily-sensitive-sometimes-breal-out skin and I’ve tried Argan oil, Nude, Juice, every natural, clean product under the sun..but after 3 days with Hope Gillerman’s products my skin is actually noticeably clearer, nicer-looking and just more vibrant-looking. I just wish she made a sun-screen, but for now I make do with Juice for that. This is honestly some of best skin care I’ve ever come across. For Bonnie, the neroli oil works like a charm on my break-outs…promise!
Perhaps the face balm would be too rich for you (I use it extremely sparingly) but the neroli oil is wonderful. And I say this as someone who tried and tried to get behind argan oil because everyone else raved about it, but couldn’t. Thanks Hope!
