Lotus digs. Laughing Lotus’ current location on 19th Street in Chelsea is expanding, adding a new room they’re calling the “Dance Hall.” What better way to celebrate than with a free class followed by a dance party?

How does your garden grow? If you needed an excuse to eat out next week, here’s a good one. A group of restaurants—from ‘Wichcraft to Gramercy Tavern—will donate a portion of proceeds from certain menu items to Grow to Learn, a program that brings gardens to New York City schools.

Central Park Adventures. If you’re not too busy with your Summer Wellness Guide activities, head to the Central Park Bandshell on Saturday. From noon to 4:00 p.m., Backpacker Magazine and the NYC parks department will host free rock climbing, bike rentals, fitness clinics, and more.

This lip gloss is popping. Lip gloss may be the scariest product in your beauty bag, but fear no more: Intelligent Nutrients (created by Horst Rechelbacher, Aveda’s original founder) will debut a certified organic antioxidant gloss in August in four fab shades, including Sheer Cranberry and Purple Maize.

Pilates for Brooklyn bodies. Pilates Garage, an art-loft studio formerly in Park Slope, just moved a few blocks to Gowanus, and they’re throwing a party to celebrate. On Saturday from 5:00–8:00 p.m., enjoy an open bar, appetizers, free class coupons, and giveaways galore.

A slightly soggy Wanderlust. The long-awaited Wanderlust Vermont festival kicked off yesterday, and while rain is expected, we’re sure it won’t dampen the spirits of the yogis coming from near and far to practice and party with stars like John Friend, Seane Corn, and Elena Brower. We’re betting on a Stratton slip ‘n slide.  Send us a postcard!
