Jamba Juice to sell smoothies in schools
Jamba Juice announced last week that it will be launching an express version of its brand called JambaGo.
The mini smoothie shops will be targeting elementary, middle, and high schools, and college campuses as possible locations.
And we’re suspicious.
While cold-pressed juice with fruit and veggies sounds like a great addition to school lunch and the college dining hall, we’re not sure Jamba actually has that in mind.
The current menu is short on juice and is stocked with 200- to 400-calorie smoothies containing more than 100 grams of sugar—and that’s not exactly good news for childhood obesity.
What do think, is this a step up from the soda-stocked school cafeteria vending machine or packs of Capri Sun?
