Well+Good’s “Night Before Christmas” (the yoga edition)

Well+Good yoga Christmas poem

Twas the night before Hannu-mas, and all through the Loft,
Not a staffer was working. (We had the night off!)

Our yoga mats were unfurled by the chimney radiator with care,
In hopes that Rodney Yee would appear.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
What I thought was kirtan (but I had no proof).

As I drew up from child’s pose, and was turning around,
In through the fire escape, came Rodney with a bound.

He spoke not a word, and went straight to a pose,
Then gave some adjustments on reaching our toes.

Before we could thank him or say “Namaste,”
He flew out the window; he’d had a full day.

But we heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Happy Hannu-mas to all, and to all a good night!”

Happy holidays from Well+Good!
