Is Organic Avenue ditching its signature fat-bottomed bottles?

Organic AvenueOrganic Avenue’s signature fat-bottomed glass bottles got a New Year’s makeover this week.

We stopped by the Soho location on Sullivan Street and found that they had been replaced with new tall, skinny ones.

Staffers at the store said the new, more statuesque bottles (which still contain 16 ounces of juicy goodness) were a “temporary test,” and that they’re meant to be more hand, bag, and car-cup-holder friendly.

Is this part of Organic Avenue’s push to tighten up the customer experience?

If so, it’s working. Those old bottles were adorable, but they were just plain awkward to drink from.
