My Five Beauty Obsessions: Amanda Walker
Amanda Walker knows fragrance.
After working for traditional brands like Avon and Victoria’s Secret Beauty, Walker left the world of synthetic scent and launched A Perfume Organic, a line of carefully crafted USDA-certified organic perfumes.
She’s also a raw foodie and a runner, so we were dying to know what the New Yorker stocks in her medicine cabinet.
Here’s what she’s currently reaching for:
1. Your Crown & Glory Shampoo Just For Her in Lavender, $16
I love this incredible shampoo with apple juice, cedar wood, and thyme. Because of the tons of apple juice, my hair is super silky and shiny, not dried out like most shampoos leave it. My scalp feels great, so I’m hooked! It contains tons of certified organic ingredients, and I love that it’s made in my home town of Park City, Utah.
2. Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Night Cream, $20.85
This is an excellent night cream because it smells incredible and it’s not greasy. Especially when my face is wind-burned from skiing (I just got back from a trip) or being out in the cold, I know I’ll wake up looking hydrated and fresh. I only dab a little bit on because it’s super emollient.
3. Dr. Hauschka Floral Deodorant, $19.50
I swear it’s the only one that works! It’s super luxurious with real Rose Damascena oil. I order three or four bottles at a time.
4. EOS Organic Lip Balm Sphere in Summer Fruit, $6.85
This has awesome packaging and is super fun to apply to my lips. Love that it’s USDA certified organic!
5. AHAVA Dead Sea Algae Compact Powder, $26.90
A great everyday powder that I always keep in my handbag. It doesn’t dry my skin, and it’s a great smoother and concealer. I use a big powder brush to apply it, and it really evens out my skin tone. The Dead Sea Algae as an ingredient totally sold me.
Beauty Bonus! Love Nature NYC Rosemary Peppermint Soap, $8
I love this soap for my dry, winter skin. It has my favorite skin nourishers: coconut and avocado oils. It smells incredible, too.
