Beauty Aisle: Intelligent Nutrients Certified Organic Total Body Elixirs
I was recently invited to sniff out the latest aromatherapy launch (and passion project) of organic beauty pioneer, Horst Rechelbacher.
The founder of Intelligent Nutrients (and Aveda before he sold it to Estee Lauder in 1997), just debuted a collection of seven chakra-based Total Body Elixir blends.
From the grounding “Awake: Wake Up” to “Focus: Feed the Mind,” the sprays and oils are meant to provide energetic balance right where you need it.
But rather than choosing an Elixir by name for its desired result, you’re meant to let the right scent blend “call to you”—meaning, when you inhale a few, you’ll know which one you need in that moment.
So if you haven’t been able to complete a task at work without checking your email five times, maybe “Focus” has your name on it. (Turns out “Inner Calm: Wind Down” was the one I needed.)
The goal of the right Elixir is to put you in a better head space, like a good yoga class.
The best way to sniff out the aromatic blend for you in New York City is at ABC Apothecary, at ABC Home (888 Broadway and 19th Street), which stocks the Elixirs and testers. Oh, and also important, these creative balance-boosting blends smell divine.
Or check out the seven vibrational zones to see which of yours could be out of whack, here. —Melisse Gelula
