3 super-fun healthy things to do this week

Ariane Hundt Boot Camp

Ariane Hundt takes her boot camp into Union Square on Thursday mornings in summer.

Every Monday, we’ll pick the week’s must-do summer activities—from outdoor yoga and fitness classes (many of which are free) to races and healthy outdoor dining. Most can be found in our Healthy Summer Guide, while others are newbies. Check back for each week’s top picks!

Monday, June 11 to Sunday, June 17

1. MONDAY MORNING MAT TIME
Monday, June 11 @ 10 a.m.
Unroll your mat for this mid-morning Open Air Yoga class in Central Park, next to Turtle Pond. Every hour-long vinyasa class ends with savasana—and a delish morning beverage. $15 for one class or $65 for 5

2. COMPLIMENTARY BUTT KICKING
Thursday, June 14 @ 8 a.m.
Union Square Park’s Summer in the Square fitness classes debut today. Get your butt-kicked by Ariane Hundt at an early morning off-bridge Brooklyn Bridge Boot Camp class. Free.

3. KAYAK THE HUDSON THEN MOVE LIKE JAGGER
Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Got summer Fridays? Take advantage of 20 minutes of free kayaking at the Downtown Boathouse. You’ll feel your arms burning and your core activate as you take in the Manhattan skyline. After your workout, you can head over to the Globesonic DJ Dance Party in Riverside Park South (2:30–10:30 p.m.). Both events: Free. www.nycgovparks.org
