Chris is my number one teacher. His class is so unique because he gets you into this trance state where you feel totally one with the music. A natural high and it cleanses me from all the stress. He is a true passionate cycled, a no nonsense guy. He lives for cycling and he does not talk a lot during class but he has this in going flow that makes his class superior to anyone else's . You do need to be advanced in spinning though, otherwise you might hate it.

I couldn't agree more with Mary. I am shocked that Chris is not mentioned in this list. He is definitely one of the best (if not the best) athlete at EQ. In Autumn and winter he teaches at Columbus Circle for two hours, I have not been in any class that can compare with the energy that these classes have. I really feel I am training for a race when I spin with him. I definitely recommend this 2hr. class but make sure you book your bike on Friday at 9:00am o'clock because it takes 30 seconds and all the bikes are taken!

How could you leave out Chris Griffen's classes, especially the 1 and a 1/2 hour offered at Columbus Circle on Sat?!? I spin with him 4 times/week, and he is definitely the best at EQ. His classes are extremely challenging with a race-day format and the music is excellent. I encourage you to try it out if you want a fitness challenge!!

I swear by Gregg Cook's Terracycle class and always will -- it's a must for interval training! But you've broadened my Equinox horizons with this post. Thank you!

If you are looking for a class comparable to Soul Cycle's the only one at Equinox is Darryl Gaines's TranscendCycle. Off your scale and in a word 'Awesome'
