Starbucks expands its juice production

Starbucks Opens First Evolution Fresh Juice StoreStarbucks took a sip of the juice market this past spring when it opened its first juice bar, Evolution Fresh, and debuted bottled juices in select West Coast stores.

Now, the company is poised to start gulping.

According to the LA Times, the coffee giant will open a new juice production plant in Rancho Cucamonga in Southern California next year that will quadruple the production and distribution capacity for Evolution Fresh.

The expansion is in response to what an executive called “significant double-digit growth.”

Starbucks also launched four new bottled flavors—Cucumber Pineapple Ginger (yum!), Pineapple Coconut Water, Spicy Lemonade, and Raspberry Watermelon.

We wonder how long it will be before Evolution Fresh makes its way to New York for a taste of the already booming juice scene?
