Since the closing of her legendary Om Yoga studio in Union Square, Cyndi Lee has found a new yoga home—in Ohio (Sorry New Yorkers!). According to Lee’s newsletter, she plans on growing Om Yoga in Columbus, and is also hosting trainings in Switzerland and Turkey.
According to the New York Daily News, Will.i.am is launching a line of eco-friendly clothing and accessories made from recycled materials. Ekocycle sounds utterly wholesome, except that the Black Eyed Pea’s partner on the project is Coca-Cola.
Lionsgate BeFit launched BeFit Yoga, featuring yoga routines from Sadie Nardini and Rainbeau Mars. The free fitness channel on YouTube already hosts workout videos from stars like Jillian Michaels and Jane Fonda.
After holding its inaugural event at Dekalb Market in July, Pop Up Yoga will host “Stretch and Flirt,” an event featuring “Yoga for the Single Girl” creator Daniella Rosales Friedman, at Lower East Side gallery/bar White Rabbit. Expect healthy-leaning cocktails and a DJ.
Dig Inn is set to open its first kombucha bar this Monday at its Union Square location. The bar will feature four varieties of Kombucha Brooklyn on tap, available in a glass or in a growler to go.
