Barry's Bootcamp opened its second Manhattan location earlier this month in Tribeca.
We caught up with
Joey Gonzalez, Barry's COO and star trainer, for a workout and tour of his tricked-out new space.
The airy, light-flooded studio on
Sixth Avenue and York Street has a wall of windows fronting onto Sixth Avenue. Regulars at the studio's Chelsea location will notice some serious upgrades, namely a spacious reception area and Fuel Bar, and larger locker rooms with monster-big lockers.
As for Barry's next move, Gonzalez says he's already scouting locations on the Upper East Side. Take our tour of the Tribeca studio—and here's a head's up: You can join us for an exclusive Well+Good Reader Event at Barry's Tribeca on November 8. Tickets go on sale next week!
too bad the shower situation is the worst I’ve experienced in the city….
It is a pleasure to welcome Barry’s Bootcamp to the neighborhood.
The space is beyond beautiful! Everything is designed to perfection.
After an amazing workout I love to shower and get ready in their spa like lockers rooms.
Thank you Well and Good for the slide show.
However, the studio is even more amazing in person. I have been taking class everyday before work, great way to start the day!
The workout, studio and locker rooms are the best in the city.
I love getting ready for work in the luxuries locker rooms. I am especially impressed by the abundance of all the Malin+Goetz.
We at Concreteworks East were very happy to work with Joey on providing the concrete countertops throughout the space for both this location, and the downtown location of Barry’s Bootcamp! The concrete counters in the reception, juice bar, and locker rooms look phenomenal with the rest of the design! :)
