My Favorite Green Juice Recipe: Carlin Greenstein

CarlinThe YinOva Center is the spot for Traditional Chinese Medicine in New York—think acupuncture and Chinese herbs to help heal any number of aches and pains and boost fertility.

At the helm of the center’s nutritional counseling department is Carlin Greenstein, who knows just about everything there is to about the role of diet in holistic healing, having cut her teeth at NYU’s Nutrition and Food Studies Program and The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts.

She’s also an avid yogi and runner who (surprise!) loves to cook meals in her LES home, whipping up delicious creations like this fertility-boosting green drink.

On the baby-making train? The shake’s loaded with fertility-enhancing elements, like pineapple (improves uterine lining), avocado (helps regulate ovulation and assists in healthy hormone functioning), and kale (helps metabolize estrogen).

But if you’re not trying to get pregnant, don’t worry—you can still enjoy this delish green juice. Think of it as good nutrition foreplay. —Jamie McKillop
