Cycle Bar
Park Slope
Brooklyn’s only dedicated spin studio opened last year.
While it now caters to locals looking to skip a weekend subway schlep to Flywheel or SoulCycle, the original goal of co-owner Lisa Craig (tattoo not confirmed) was also to give those long-distance cyclers around Prospect Park an indoor workout.
This explains the regular one-hour endurance rides—and Sunday night 90-minute Road Ride!—and a lack of interest in hipster or inspirational studio design.
Classes are just $25 a pop. www.cycle-bar.com
