When it comes to New York City’s most trendsetting cyclists, Julie Hirschfeld and Susi Wunsch lead the peloton. (That’s French for “a group of cyclists.”)
Cycling chic has taken off in the city, with $1,500 Pashleys parked outside cafes, and helmets coming in as many colors as the season’s pumps.
Hirschfeld, the owner of Adeline Adeline, and Wunsch, the publisher of Velojoy.com, are showcasing this cultural moment via The Little Bike Shop, their curated pop-up shop at the New Amsterdam Bicycle Show in Soho.
The shop will be filled with their favorite bike accessories—from helmet bows to bicycle planters—many of which are handcrafted in the five boroughs.
"Part of the fun of riding a bike in the city is personalizing your look and your ride," says Wunsch.
