At the Well+Good Loft (aka our West Soho office), co-founder and natural beauty expert Melisse Gelula teamed up with organic-beauty founder Hope Gillerman to lead our first Better Beauty Salon and trunk show. More than 30 readers, bloggers, and spa aficionados gathered to learn and chat about natural beauty and sample and shop HGO Lab’s 5-step skin-care line.

Well+Good readers took over CLAY Health Club + Spa to Work Out and Chill Out. Everyone built a sweat—in yoga, spin, or on the cardio floor. Then we kicked back in the fireplace lounge and enjoyed recovery smoothies created by Christy Maskeroni, CLAY’S nutrition guru, plus chair massages, and advice from Shaffali Miglani, founder of Shaffali Beauty, which is used in the Clay Spa, on how to take care of your skin pre- and post-workout.

The minute Barry’s Bootcamp debuted in New York City in early June, we were obsessed. So we invited our readers for a Power Lunch at this high-octane boutique fitness studio that mixes treadmill-based interval workouts with strength-training circuits. Demand for the class was so intense, we added a second one. Who says New Yorkers can’t find time to work out?

May 18
We hosted an exclusive readers-only class of Figure 4, Pure Yoga’s brand new barre class created by Kate Albarelli. (We tried it and loved it!) After the hour-long workout, we enjoyed mini-facials with one of the most coveted organic beauty brands in New York, Tata Harper, as well as green juice and chia seed smoothies from Joulebody.
